Oban 10 Year Coastal Orchard is one of eight bottlings for DIAGEO'S 2024 Special Releases "Spirited Xchange 2.0"— a reimagining of iconic Scotch whisky brands through adventurous cask combinations.
The single malt whisky here was matured in refill American oak and partially finished in new fresh charred oloroso-seasoned American oak casks. Bottled at 58% ABV, it's available in limited quantities in the US beginning October 2024.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma is gently sweet with light berries and citrus peel. Also found are some mild barrel spices and char smoke. It feels medium full on the palate with a moderate sweetness. There's mild smoke and a hot peppery bite from the alcohol. Flavors are still lightly fruity with warming toasted spices, especially cinnamon and ginger. Finish has a lightly herbal peat smoke. Water brings out the fresh summery fruit profile (peaches, berries) and the hot spices are tamed a bit. "
