Octomore 09.1 Dialogos was released September 2018. It is made with 100% Scottish barley, specifically the Concerto barley variety. Octomore is Bruichladddich's super heavily peated line, with this bottling peated to 156ppm.
Distilled in 2012, this single malt matured exclusively in ex-American whiskey casks. In detail the breakdown is as follows: 51% Jim Beam casks, 26% Jack Daniel's casks, 15% Clermont casks, and 8% Old Grand-Dad casks. Bottled at 59.1% ABV without coloring or chill-filtration, this is a limited release of 42,000 bottles.

Tasting Notes
"Surprisingly herbal and green, almost like mezcal. Balanced vegetal peat, with relatively subtle smoke and notes of banana mush. Given time, it displays a quite intense vanilla sweetness. The palate is brazen, but settles down after a little whill. Chock full of thick, dense smoke, with whiffs of rubber and char, but there's a caramel sweetness as well, with plenty of vanilla and a whisper of lemon."
