"Pure Scot's Virgin Oak expression is surprisingly full-bodied and peaty for a blended Scotch. An assertive smokiness comes through on the first sip, backed by vanilla, oak, and a touch of baking spice. That peat smoke comes through again on the finish with meaty, barbecue note. This is the kind of blended Scotch that could appeal to fans of American whiskeys, and it's a solid value too. "
