Reviewed January 24, 2024First pour from a freshly opened bottle. Nose: Vanilla & Toffee/Caramel. Quite sweet. I get some baking spice as well, (I think more cardamom or nutmeg). Didn't find much fruitness in the nose. Palate: For me this was quite hot in the mouth, especially compared to the proof. Very thick and creamy, coats the mouth. Baking spice showed up first with a bright and very brief pop of fruitiness. The fruitiness subsided into just a very soft/round non-descript fruitness (baked apple or stone fruit maybe?). There is definitely some spearmint like the spiciness when you put a piece of gum in your mouth. Some slight biscuity yeastiness as well. Finish: A little hot and warming. Lingers for a while. Some more of the baking spice. Still remains sweet the whole way through. When the glencairn got low, I got a brief whiff of mustiness/leather on the nose. Quite enjoyable, and I got quite the deal for the bottle.67.99 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed October 13, 2023Wheat clearly shines through. Warm baking spices and honey when supped neat. Small bit of ice opens up fantastic light molasses and maple notes with a touch of oak
