Reviewed November 25, 2024 (edited November 26, 2024)The nose is slightly spicy and very forward with oak, peanuts, faint hints of dried flowers, vanilla, leather and a bit of brown sugar. This is very much a wheat whiskey, offering you the best qualities of wheat whiskey. It's a very full nose, almost bready. Every smell makes you more and more excited for that first sip. The pallet is smooth and full of oak and peanuts, backed up with supporting notes of vanilla and a bit of brown sugar. It is indeed chewy which brings out some richness to it, but all in all this is fairly simple but in a good way. It gives you the qualities of wheat right up front, without wasting your time. It is delicious and easy to drink, an easy to know what you're experiencing. The finish is long and a bit chewy, there is a lingering mouth feel that is almost astringent, however it is a blend of oak and peanut which is actually quite pleasant and unique. It is a different take on whiskey as straight wheat whiskey isn't all that common. This however gives you a perfect example of what wheat whiskey can be.
