Old Forester 1897 Bottled In Bond

The nose is wonderful on this and carries a sweet slightly fermented honey fragrance. Definitely carries the signature Old Forester spice on the front of the palette. Something about the finish on this whiskey I just can’t in to though. It’s a bit dry and somehow sour/bitter(?). A few drops of water helps with this a lot.

neat: full mouth feel. sweetness. long finish. vanilla nose. one ice cube: nose brings toffee notes.

Sweeter - but quite a bit smoother than statesman. Better than prohibition in my opinion
