Old Forester 1897 Bottled In Bond

Lots of leather in the nose with a bit of tobacco and some hot alcohol. The leather continues to the palate along with a faint hint of brown sugar but overall less sweet than most. The finish lingers with a spicy heat. A nice and unique tasting bourbon.

4.0 Stars - Excellent; 750 ml bottle If Remus Repeal and Woodford Reserve had a love child, it would be this whiskey. Huge aroma. Rich and distinctive taste. Beautiful bottle. The finish is a little hot for 100 proof.

1910 and 1920 are way better

I found this to be very pleasant. Full of flavor. Oily, spicy, apples and a nice after taste. I’ll be looking for a bottle of this for my bar!

Smooth, leather taste, slight sweetness/vanilla. Calm easy drinker

My go to favorite so far in 2021. As a novice bourbon drinker, this one is it!
