Smooth but alcohol lingers

Lovely rich oak and vanilla, sweet fruits, and a splash of heat.

Apple and spice on the nose. Slight leather. Taste has spice up front and finishes sweet and smooth with a bit of vanilla.

Don’t call me crazy, but on the nose I get red fruits and a hint of cooking beef. Chocolate and cooking spices on the palate. All around good, but nothing to write home about.

light vanilla and apple on the nose, the alcohol is brought out on the nose as well but not a lot of aroma in this pour. Green apple, leather and spice on the palate. Some caramel and some tart. Powerful richness comes out only on the finish for me where this pour shines. Pretty smooth finish overall with a little heat later. A high quality bottle with complex flavors, worth the price on special occasions.
