Day 2 of my bourbon advent calendar
Nose: Starts with sweety baking spices like cinnamon, or nutmeg, and a subtle banana note buried behind some oak. Not a whole lot of ethanol for something a little higher on proof
Plate: It starts quite hot and stays hot, but also has slight creamy texture, and the finish is decent.
This is a great affordable option for someone looking into higher proof bourbons. However, this is not my favorite Old Forster expression. I personally love all single barrels from them, but it's still a good go-to for when I'm craving something high proof because it's readily available for me.
