Many bourbons are a little too sweet for my tastes, but this has a woody spice that enlivens it. I find the very dry finish a little odd - really saps the moisture out of my mouth
I only drank it neat, which was probably a mistake. It drinks like its 145 proof. Very sharp. Stings the tongue. I liked it in-store, but wasn’t a fan bringing it home.
A quality high proof bourbon with a noticeable level of heat and oak. Not as sweet as many Bourbons and has a nice spice kick on the finish. Glad I bought the bottle, but overall I think Wild Turkey Rare Breed is a better pour and is 15 bucks cheaper in SW Michigan.
