Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed June 4, 2021My tastes are changing. Glenmorangie always used to be too sweet for me, no bite. It still is to some extent. Maybe it’s the sherry cask that gives it a light fruit twist, but this is incredibly soft and smooth and drinkable. -
Very light in color, almost like white wine. Could probably use more aging. A kind of unique dram from start to finish. The nose is kind of an odd combination of buttery and herbal. The taste doesn’t quite match the smell: kind of a savory start and short salt/spice finish that isn’t quite the same as peat. Despite my odd description, I actually quite enjoy it. Different than anything else I’ve had
