Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2017
Old Forester // Kentucky, USA
This marks the 16th annual release, always set to hit shelves beginning on the 2nd of September. This limited edition was put into barrel in 2005 and aged for 12 years. It is a blend of bourbons aged in two different warehouses. Ninety-three barrels were aged in Warehouse G and twenty-seven in Warehouse K. Due to an issue with the first transferring of bourbon from the holding tank to the bottling line, there are two different proofs: 96 and 95.6. Kentucky will receive both while Florida and Georgia will receive 95.6. The rest of the country will see the 96 proof bottling.
BourbonProduced anywhere in USA; Mash bill of at least 51% corn; aged in new, charred oak containers.

"Sometimes when tasting a whiskey, it is like hearing a band playing solos. First the guitar and then the keys and finally the drum solo. But this bourbon is all about the band. Maple syrup sings along while rye spice strums the guitar. The vanilla cream and milk chocolate harmonize together and orange zest is hitting that hi-hat. All together, playing their song. Take your time with this one."
