$23, and one of the most unique, flavorful ryes at any price point on the market. Absolute best value in whiskey, & one of the reasons Old Forester reigns supreme. Lemony, easy drinker where mellow sweet tones somehow add up to something bigger. Fun fact: I served this to a large group of relatively inexperienced bourbon drinkers alongside Blanton’s, and nobody picked Blanton’s over this.
One of the most unique ryes I’ve tasted. A bit of cinnamon on the nose. For a rye, no overpowering spiciness. The mash bill in my view delivers a winner. The bang for the buck is double bonus!
Clover and honey nose, some allspice, grass, and nuttiness with good oiliness on the palate. The letdown was the finish. Too peppery and too much alcohol burn even for a rye. Would make good mixer but not sipper.
