Well balanced with a little of all the notes you expect in a rye.
Nose is; Baking spices, oak, a little spearmint or eucalyptus, sweet caramel, and the usual Old Forester ripe banana.
Palate is cinnamon, oak, a tiny bit of over ripe banana sweetness esp in the finish. A little dry tannin on the tip of the tongue during the finish but the finish isn’t hot or burning.
A little bit of everything. It covers all the bases but doesn’t make any one of them really stand out. Lacks any memorable pizzazz but for the price of $22 well, now you’re talking.
