Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon

A little strong, too much alcohol. Sweetness comes after, but still a little agressive. There's a deep wood there that I enjoy as well. But it needs water. Water makes those two flavors very balanced, although the heat is still there.

I get the rye spice, dryness, and vanilla, along with the heat due to the proof.

Winner! In a side by side with 1870, 1897, and 1920 (1910 unavailable) OF present day is full of honey. It's smooth. Spicy at first then fades quickly to cinnamon toast with butter on the finish. Update: with the 1910, this one's remains #1...raised the rating to a solid 4 🌟
