Very subtle, molasses nose, low, brown sugar start something like diner pancake syrup, insistent, medicinal bitterness that stays all the way through to a surprisingly smooth finish.

Nose: baked bread and vanilla are extremely dominant
Palate: bitter chocolate, mint, rye spice, and wood tannin. A dry mouth and a burst of warmth follow.
Overall, I was very surprised by how pleasant this one was. You don't feel the 100 proof until the end of the sip. The nose is not highly complex, but the taste certainly is. Very much worth the low price.
[11.19.22] This has become my newest standby bourbon as I practice old fashioneds. A plain-Jane classic with the proof to counteract melting ice, it has the classic flavor profile so I can balance my ingredients and not worry about the whiskey. And yes, price has everything to do with mixed drinks.

Solid bourbon with the best part being the taste as that OF banana note really comes through along with the other traditional bourbon sweet notes. This should be a staple in your line up and never without. Nose also has classic bourbon with banana notes a little more muted. Medium finish … more banana and not the cherry as much that one usually gets but still a bit.
