Old Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey (80 proof)

Very basic. A good choice to get introduced into the category of rye that has a lower rye mash bill(51%-60%)

Clear, amber appearance, with uniform alcohol legs. Nose of whiskey-soaked oak and charred wood. Some rye spice, in the smell, too. Taste- minty, peppery rye, with lightly-charred oak and vanilla. Medium body. Moderate drop off. More dry than sweet, too. RJT
