Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine

It’s got a pleasant-enough blackberry aroma, and it’s only 40 proof, so it doesn’t smell like blackberry cough syrup. It doesn’t really taste like cough syrup, either, unlike the company’s Hunch Punch Lightnin’. That being said, it’s not very interesting at all, just a little blackberry and a little alcohol. I’d rather sip the company’s White Lightnin’. $3.29 for a 50 ml sample mason jar at Total Wine & More.

Very sweet because of the blackberries

If you want something easy drinking this fits the bill. Did make me think of cough syrup initially but the thought went away after a few sips. Nice smooth flavor, with just enough warmth in the throat. Ended up drinking half of the jar before realizing it.

Pretty much just tasted like blackberry cough syrup. More of a gimmick I think
