Oregon Spirit Straight American Rye

Earthy and straightforward. Not a very interesting flavor

Soft, corn forward with a quick hot finish of cherry, somewhat syrupy.

I have never enjoyed a 100% rye before it is slightly sweet spicy not overbearing well balanced licorice in the background. Oak is present but does not overtake it. I don't understand but I am happy I got it.

Nose - ginger ale, medicinal sweetness Palate - herbal spice, cough medicine Finish - more of the above, overall unpleasant

Nose: Leather and tobacco with light hints of corn. Taste: Pipe Tobacco. Walnut. Corn. Light spice to tie it all together. Overall very enjoyable. Smooth mouthfeel with warm flavors and pleasant, lingering after taste.
