Partida Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo
Partida // Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Partida is a brand that's known for being hands on in all aspects of production from growing their own agave to bottling.
They use mature agave that's 7-10 years old before it's picked, and aged in stainless steal ovens to avoid the soot from stone ovens that can affect the taste of the tequila.

Tasting Notes
"There is more vanilla and spice in the añejo over the reposado, with added orange and grapefruit peel, and with an earthy, cedar-plank smoke. The extended maturation in one-pass JD barrels seem to add a fair amount of charcoal bitterness that feels a tad too overwhelming, almost whiskey-fying what is otherwise a very well made tequila."
