"Pendergast's Royal Gold is an appealing marriage of spicy bourbon and the sweeter notes of port. Though light in body, it carries a bit of heat along with flavors of butterscotch, clove, and banana bread. Gentle, fruity hints of port come through on the finish. The wine influence is thankfully not overwhelming, but does add appealing complexity to the spirit"
