Penderyn Madeira

Nose: Lots of vanilla and baking spices make up the dominate notes on the nose. Sweet smelling but with a younger snap to it. Palate: More baking spices and a sweetness of a vanilla custard that smooths it out. A zestiness brightens everything. Finish: Some herbal notes like you’d find walking in your garden. The vanilla carries through to the finish but more in a vanilla wafer cookie flavor. Finish is shorter than you want.

The nose is beautiful The mouth feel and taste is delicious but there is way too much oak in the finish leaves my mouth dry. The Madera is there but fleeting It should have stayed longer in the Madera cask
