Unsurprisingly, this is very oaky and all the tastes that go with that - a woodiness, lots of vanilla, and some secondary peppery spices. It’s decently smooth, but could be a bit smoother (the finish is a little hot for my taste), and is somewhat one-dimensional, making this a good but not great whiskey.

Flaviar advent. Vanilla nose with caramel and cinnamon. Fruit, oak and a slight hit of chocolate

Fruit forward with vanilla. Sweet finish.

Flaviar Advent Calendar. Nose: vanilla, toffee, wood. Palate: vanilla, moderate sweetness, fruits/pear. Very pleasant and will have this again

Bold and oaky with a sweet/smooth aftertaste

Big banana and slight cream in the nose. Oak apple and cream with a hint of banana in the flavor. A couple drops of water amps up the banana cream aroma and apple in the swallow.
