Penderyn Rich Oak 46%

NOSE Tropical and orchard fruit, vanilla taffy, fruit gems, honey and cinnamon with a touch of oak. This is a lovely aroma that comes through soft but heavy. PALATE Exact carbon copy, but a tad richer and deeper. I’m enjoying the overall profile of the Penderyn Rich Oak Single Malt. It’s warm, bold and expressive. It’s awesome. FINISH Medium -> Tropical fruit candy, vanilla taffy and some malty sweetness dissolve to turn a tad metallic and oaky.

Starts out a little cinnamon spice but as you get into it more the vanilla fudge with a little mango continues to build. Oak is in the background due to the oilyness. Very easy drinker I think it would be good with a very deep pour.

On the nose, there is plenty of fruit, including apple and banana. Vanilla and oak are at the front of the first sip, with the latter lingering for a bit. Rich, full and probably worth trying, though I think the alcohol keeps it from being cohesive.

Drinkable, but comes in too hot. Leans more towards barnyard than peaty. I do get some sweetness and spice though.

Sweet vanilla aromas on the nose with a slight hint of toffee. Fruty tones on the palate with an apple aftertaste.
