Penelope Straight Bourbon Rose Cask Finished

A crisp, Straight Bourbon Whiskey by Mike & Kerry Paladini & Danny Polise in collaboration with aging in Indiana at MGP & expert blending & bottling assistance from Castle Rock in Kentucky. It is crafted with a blend of three Bourbon Spirits — two with rye in the mash & one with wheat-based. Two of them are aged for two years, one is aged for three in barrels that have a #4 char on the staves & the heads have a #2 char. It is finished in French Grenache Rosé Wine barrels before being bottled at 47% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grains, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a bold & fruity life adds notes of blood oranges, caramel sauce, strawberries & butterscotch; that led to a dry & crisp death of medium length with notes of oak, vanilla, rose wine & citrus zest.
