Pikesville Straight Rye

A little sweet, a little spice, good mouthfeel. Nothing really stands out about the flavor, but a nice clean, crisp taste and an easy sipper for 55%. Easy to find and a great value at $40 from K&L ($50 is typical which would be a decent value still).

Well, well, well - a rye that doesn’t overwhelm you with spice. And that’s not even the best part! It’s a sweet, approachable rye, that’s an easy supper, even at 110 proof. Cherry on the nose, decent mouthfeel, cereal notes on the palate, and cinnamon and oak on the finish. Tasty!
