Pikesville Straight Rye

Creamy, sweet notes. Picking up leather and some chocolate on the finish. Easy to drink.

Nose: peanuts, ethanol, barrel spice, subtle vanilla, oatmeal Palate: sweet, cinnamon, pepper, surprisingly little heat Finish: chocolate, tobacco, oak, long finish with heat at the end Very easy sipper for 110, but pretty light spice for a rye

A solid rye. Not too spicy as other eyes get. Opens up nicely with water. Full and leathery with a good burn, but not overpowering. Better than the Rittenhouse from same Heaven Hill distiller.
