This 2020 Kentucky straight rye uses Pinhook's mash bill of 60% rye, 20% corn, and 20% malted barley. Distilled at Castle and Key in Frankfort, Kentucky, it ages for at least two years before being blended and proofed by Sean Josephs.
"Rye'd On is a very nicely balanced young rye. It's sweet and spicy up front, with notes of clove, cardamom, vanilla, and orange peel. The peppery taste of rye comes through on the mid-palate, and it finishes with a bit of brown sugar. Even at nearly 100-proof, it's deceptively easy to drink."
