Body: Not terribly clingy, but looks thick for an 80 Proof.
Nose: banana, vanilla, oak, and some bourbon-esk notes as well, brown sugar and a bit of apple.
Palette: honey, brown sugar, pineapple, and banana. Super sweet.
Finish: oak and brown sugar. It’s a long finish, again surprising for the proof, I thought.
Overall: this is another great sipping spirit that I can see enjoying as it comes as well as in a mixer. This is only the second rum I’ve had and taken seriously. Plantation has opened this category for me.
