Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey

I thought I’d like this more than the reviews. Nope. Tastes really muddled, like a bunch of whiskey was thrown together with no tasting done. Tasting notes were the usual shortbread cookie and a weird amount of spice. It’s fine for cocktails but not something I’d have a dram of over ice.

Lacking in almost everything. Very flat. Good for mixing and that’s about it.

Better than expected. Fruit forward with Bartlet pear right up front. The finish is short but not bad.

Remarkably sweet, with the vanilla and cherry notes to be expected from the bourbon cask finish. Not my favorite Irish whiskey, but an interesting curiosity.
