The Singleton of Glendullan 15 Year
The Singleton // Speyside, Scotland
Glendullan is one of three Scottish distilleries under The Singleton family. The distillery was founded in Dufftown, of the Speyside region, back in 1897. This single malt expression was matured for 15 years in mostly American oak barrels previously used for bourbon. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
Single MaltDistilled in pot stills from 100% malted barley, produced at one distillery, aged in barrels; if Scotch or Irish, must be aged for at least three years.

"The Singleton of Glendullan's 15 year expression hits the notes of a good Scotch, though it hits them lightly. It's a straightforward dram, medium bodied, with mild notes of vanilla, toffee, and fruit, along with a touch of salinity. At 80 proof it's not too hot, but also doesn't linger long on the finish. There are no extremes to this whisky, but it fits the bill for an affordable, every day single malt."
