Ragged Branch Signature Bourbon

I did not have the best opportunity to taste this whiskey since I drank this after a college football game. However, I remember distinct corny notes.

Nose: alcohol, corn, hay Palate: cola, caramel, corn Finish: alcohol, sweetness Strong cola flavors but needs more time in the barrel.

Youthful grain. Curious what a few more years would do.

Nice corn and caramel flavor. Finish is a bit harsh. Otherwise quite pleasant.

Ok , but a bit rough on the 1st taste. Almost bitter, hot , ethanol taste . Needs ice to cool it down, but still leaves an aftertaste of burnt tobacco with the finish. Nice to have sitting around , after a few better tasting pours.

Definitely a wheater! Corn dust, wheat bread, baking spices, a little char, long legs on the glass. Spicy but not hot, a distinct sour mash note on the nose. Smells like you're at the distillery. I get some raisin on the finish, or maybe dark fruit like cherries. Pleasantly surprising and well worth the money for a Double Gold Winner!
