This one is bottled at 141-proof and uses reactor technology in its "flash aging" process. In this case, virgin American oak is used. The rum is meant to emulate pot-distilled rums of pre-revolution Cuba.

Tasting Notes
"Pouring the rum fills the air with notes of toffee and butterscotch. After theses aroma settle nosing the glass provides a strong hit of alcohol vapor followed by caramelized banana, cinnamon, and brown sugar. On the palate, the first sip brings the proof of the rum front and center igniting the mouth and throat with a warm swirl of butterscotch, caramel, and cooked bananas. Additional sips reveals a pop of salt and dark vanilla. A kick of toasted almonds and cherry flavor make an appearance before a brutal medicinal finish. "
