Reviewed August 31, 2024Very forward cinnamon taste. Tastes like you marinated apple jax cereal in the bourbon. Very yummy! Its a hot bourbon too -

Reviewed June 28, 2024I’m no expert but I know I love relatively sweet, not artificial tasting, bourbons like OF 1910 and Woodford DO. This is delicious! The honey and cinnamon blend beautifully with the more typical bourbon flavors. I was nervous to pay the $90 without tasting it first but on the recommendation of the expert at the store (Justin at Plaza Liquor if you’re in KC) I gave it a shot and I’m so glad I did! I would definitely buy this again.89.99 USD per BottlePlaza Liquor -

Reviewed March 2, 2024Comparing to Penelope Rip Nose: graham cracker, honey, can smell the proof jump, cream cheese, peach. has an overall less desserty nose than an opened up rio. Body: nothing like rio. this has more traditional notes. i get some dark fruit as well as the creamy desserty notes. its a good balance between a fully finished dessert product and a traditional bourbon. its a great bottle. but it not what I had expected from my rio experience with similar finishing. Sorry to compare this to rio- its nothing like it. its good on its own accord- but someone else was going to come here looking for the same review. -

Reviewed March 2, 2024Nose: honey and sweet wood (obviously), graham cracker, cream cheese icing, and peaches. Honey nut cherrios (or some other sweet cereal that i can’t remember). Very mellow on the nose for 112 proof. Palate: honestly underwhelming on the honey; i was expecting a mouthful of honey like Rio. Still delicious. I get lighter notes of honey, herbs, graham cracker, vanilla, and the essence of tanins on the backend. Overall great pour. In the conversation of honey finished, Rio wins for having more honey flavor. But overall, i enjoy this pour more than Rio. Its probably because of the proof.JAX Fine Wine & Spirits
