Redemption Straight Rye

Spicy, but mild on all the other notes. Good for a black manhattan

Has a random ethanol punch that appears inconsistently, but otherwise a good rye’s rye.

For 92 proof, i was expecting this to be a bit spicier. It's pretty smooth and would likely be a good rye for beginners that are new to the hobby. I can pick up all the testing notes mentioned by the distiller. If this were aged longer, it'd probably be really good!

Rich spice, orange & fruit, shoe leather, vanilla, oak, & oil nose. Full fruits/orange, spice, vanilla & oak body, smooth body, silky mouthfeel, w/ a mildly spicy orange & vanilla finish. Tasted neat in 100+ year old family rocks glass.

Taste: It starts with vanilla and oak tannins. Rye bread is very pronounced throughout. There is some cinnamon and dill. It is sweet and slick. Look: Dark golden Smell: Pronounced vanilla and rye bread with a hint of cinnamon

Its spicy and got which is what I was looking for, but its also somewhat thin and lacking depth. Wish I'd spent another $10 on something richer.
