Nose: cinnamon red hot candies, Vanilla and some ethanol
Palate: barrel spice, brown sugar, pepper and something earthy like pine or woody.
Finish: it doesn’t linger. No big hug here. Peppery piney spice on the back of the palate.
Overall: it’s really solid pour. Placing this next to their expression “lost monarch” and it falls a bit short. But it’s solid. I’d recommend picking one up.

Citrus nose, easy and viscous on the palette. Fairly short but interesting finish…possibly grapefruit? Not a great value but I like that they plant a tree for every bottle of Redwood Empire whiskey they sell.
