Remus Repeal Reserve Series II (2018 Medley)

A really nice, complex rye. Full of flavor. Brings some heat too, but in a good way. The sweetness on the nose comes forward real fast. The heat is spicy with pepper and cinnamon. You can get more of the sweeter notes. Overall it’s a really good sipper if you are a fan of ryes.

Cherry, full, little hot for such a low proof, good strong dark color,

Hints of cherry cigar smoke meets me up front. A sweet smoked vanilla is on the mid-palate as well as some bits of buttered cinnamon apples. The finish presents a lot of tamed oak wood! Very easy drinking, rich, and full! More characteristics come forward as the journey continues. A more complex dram for sure!!

Nose of leather and orange zest mingling with vanilla bean. Palate of balanced cinnamon and rye spice with burnt sugars. Finish is medium in length with warm barrel spice and a cinnamon roll effects Well above average with great depth of flavor for 100 proof showing the age of the barrels chosen

Sweet butter, salty almost sea like on the nose, walnut and pecan, high vanilla, brown sugar, and full oily mouth feel, light cinnamon and spice finish
