Remus Volstead Reserve is a straight bottled-in-bond bourbon distilled at the famed MGP Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Distilled in the fall season of 2005 (July-December), the bourbon matured for 14 years at the distillery's own brick warehouses. Remus Volstead Reserve is named for the 100th anniversary of the Volstead Act, a law enacted in 1919 to enforce the 18th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution which outlawed the production and distribution of alcohol. Only 6000 bottles available beginning November 2019.

Tasting Notes

"With a current rise in bottled-in-bond expressions, this bourbon from Remus certainly stands up as a champion for the cause. The Remus Volstead Reserve opens up with a lively combination of cornbread, green herbs, and black peppercorn on the nose. On the palate, it delivers a bright and crackling structure accented with bread crust and caramel flavors."
