Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal Cognac

Hot, fruity, fairly sweet.

This is a very dessert-y Cognac - heavy on notes of caramel, toffee, and perhaps some coffee and walnut notes as well. It’s complex, but a bit “hot” for my taste and it somehow seems like the whole is somehow slightly less than the sum of its parts.

Smooth sweet fruit with slight burn

Tried neat thanks to beau. Fruity and sour on the nares with notes of apple, pear, sour candy. On the palate it’s smooth and silky with notes of cooked apple, and nutty with a side of smoke. It almost finishes like a weak scotch or sour wine.

A very Bourbon cognac, more of a oak taste with a bitter sweet background.
