Rémy Martin VSOP Cognac

Good allround cognac, sweet and nearly no burn.

Stone fruit and grape sweetness on the front of the palate, getting more barrel woody and dry as it moves to the back. Ending with a bit of oak barrel bitterness and tannins. Very serviceable, although I'd like a bit more strength than 80 proof.

Less sweet, but boozier than the Hennessy VSOP Privilège, and definitely blander, it doesn’t feel as complex. Maybe an almost insignificant hint of vanilla?

Very enjoyable to sip casually.

Fruity sweet note runs on a silky smooth touch. A bit rough afterwards.
