Resurgens Rye

this rye is 100% malted rye which is not very typical in the rye world. Malting this rye whiskey definitely changes the flavor. I get a pilsner beer scent on the nose and what is missing from standard high rye mashbills is that mint flavor and or pickled taste you get from Canadian ryes. Has earthy and grassy taste from its youth and a short finish.

Very smooth very rye. Not incredibly complex but really good flavor with hints of vanilla and an odd grassy flavor

Hard bite with no flavor

Nose: sweet toffee with hints of caramelized pears Taste: wet oak, not spicy at all Overall: great for people getting into rye or wanting a great old fashion

Very smooth and light for a whisky. Great for new drinkers, lacks richness in flavor though.
