Reviewed May 1, 2021 (edited December 22, 2021)Solid "local" bourbon that is admittedly sourced from Kentucky. Several people compare it to Knob Creek which makes me wonder if it's aged at Beam Suntory. Light, peppery, sweet, and approachable. Just an all around solid bourbon to try in my early whiskey journey. Maybe it won't hold up over time, but I'm enjoying it right now. Vanilla caramel oak on the palate with some pine notes. -

Reviewed April 15, 2021Very medicinal and piercing on the nose. First sip tasted like the nose? Very medicinal notes with a woody/roasted peanut finish. Once ice has started to melt a bit the nose smells a bit more floral and less aggressive. Lacks a lot of sweetness and richness that a lot of bourbons have, it’s got a lingering acidic medical taste that really is not my favorite. The more it melts the more the nose reminds me of Knobb creek/ that family of bourbons. I like knobb creek way better and that bourbon isn’t my fav. Disappointing $40 buy. Towards the very last sip it finally becomes bearable and just tastes like a less good knobb or basil Hayden’s.39.0 USD per BottleHavertown -
