Rhetoric 24 Year Bourbon

It’s a very simple taste with a smooth, short finish. Some may even call it a little boring. I don’t think I would buy it again but when are you going find a 24 year old for this price.

A lot of oak. Burns. Softens up after a while. I enjoyed more with some water. Need to come back to

Really really sweet, almost too sweet, like drinking candy. It’s a Carmel overload that lacks depth. The finish is smooth and shows the age .. but it’s pretty one dimensional - Alternatively I would suggest one considers- (in the real world); four roses single barrel, Elijah Craig barrel proof, Jefferson ocean CS, knob creek BP. 👍🏼

I bought this bottle yesterday… It is nice. I would not buy it again considering the cost. Being 24 years old and does have a sharper edge at first, but lacks some of the depth and complexity of similarly priced Bourbons that I like much better.
