Nose: Up front very sweet oak, oranges, molasses and chocolate syrup. However the oak buries everything else and causes it to be slightly muted.
Palate: Oak... an abundance of bitter oak, dried fruits, dark chocolate, a rise in heat with a sweet and sour tongue drying finish.
I bought this at $120 and have owned this bottle for a year. I’ve chipped away at it monthly. It’s opened up but not enough to diminish or really enhance it. It more or less stayed the same. Even at $120 I can’t recommend it. But if you’re an oak person or an Orphan Barrel collector then I can.
