Rhetoric 24 Year Bourbon

Neat in a bar. It’s delicious. I’m sad I missed out of getting a bottle when they were available.

Very hot upfront. Tastes of tobaccos at first taste and then moves to a Carmel/vanilla finish. Not overly oaked for a 24 year whiskey. I’d say it’s a good bourbon, but not worth the heavy price tag.

This is simply heaven in your mouth! Of course, there is tons of oak due to the age, but lovely notes of stewed fruits and buttered pie crust with baking spices of vanilla and light cinnamon. Maybe a tad bit of chocolate and spice on the finish but so much going on. Layered perfectly. It's rare to find delicious old whiskey, but Rhetoric 24 is 100/100.
