Rhetoric 25 Year Bourbon

Almost too much dry oak for its own good. Luckily - I like those flavors. Sweet up front and finishes with the sensation you’d get after sucking on a wooden pencil. Smells amazing though, like a rickhouse.

Loads of vanilla on the nose and that continues into the palate with some hints of cherry/ dark fruits and the obviously oak. I am finding some similar characteristics to the Heaven Hill 27 which I am sure is no doubt due to the age. Turns out I am a big oak fan but I’m my opinion this is not over-oaked at all, very tasty. The long finish lingers with sweetness and again the aged oak comes through, amazing pour!!

Vanilla on the nose. Apple pie on the palate. Really long oak finish
