Rhum Saint James Rhum Paille Agricole
Rhum Agricole Blanc
Rhum Saint James // Martinique
This product is made in the Saint-Marie region of the island of Martinique. All of their rhums are made from the cane juice of locally grown sugarcane harvested beginning in February into early summer. For their Paille Agricole, they distill cane juice in column-stills and age the rhum for 2 months in oak barrels or vats. It is then blended to proof with local water. The Rhum Paille agricole is aged for two months in oak casks then blended to 50 proof.
Rhum Agricole BlancRhum distilled from fresh sugarcane juice. Has either been left alone to rest for 3 months, or if aged in oak, must not exceed 3 months in barrel. In Martinique, must be bottled between 80-110 proof.
"The straw-colored liquid delivers an aroma of honeyed fruit, grass, anise and oak. The rhum delivers a punch of immature alcohol that is subdued by the honeyed sweetness and tang of oak and earthy vanilla. The anise from the aroma dominates in a long finish."
