Reviewed December 19, 2023 (edited December 20, 2023)Bottle 108, 62.1% ABV. Short lasting carmel, hints of vanilla, then Waves if heavy oak, char, cherry wood, and dashes of brown sugar. The finish is a bit hot but has alot of baking spice and oak near the finish. Texas whiskey is a bit hit or miss for me alot of the time but this one was pretty great for the price (46 with my case pricing). for a single barrel of that proof i was pleasantly suprised. And even more surprisingly i think it shines greatly on ice. im not ashamed to support a distillery in texas that uses an ryeless mashbill.
