RHF has one of the best nosing experiences in a bourbon. It greets you with ripe peaches, thick caramel sauce, leather, white chocolate, boozy cherries and a hint of oak. It definitely makes its presence known. On the taste the arrival is bold rye and cinnamon spice with some citrus tart. (maybe the peaches were not ripe?) Haha. The finish is long and numbs the inside of your mouth. It’s very thick, it coats everything and leaves a dry oaky finish. It’s the most complex of Mashbill #2 from Buffalo Trace and perhaps the best offering.
