Ron Colón Salvadoreño 100 Rye Whiskey
RCS 100 Rye is a limited edition release which was distilled and aged at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. All of the whiskey in this bottling was laid down in 2017 and aged for 5 years. Included in the release was a whiskey parcel made with 51% rye, one with 100% rye and one with a high malt rye mash bill as a finishing component.
Aged in a humid warehouse, the barrels from Speyside Cooper were made with #4 char for the staves and #2 for the heads. Bottled at 100 proof. .

RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.
